Baby SUV's

Going to the St. Jacob’s Farmers’ Market on a Saturday morning is something that everyone should do.  The atmosphere is alive with sights, sounds, and delicious aromas.  People are walking up and down the aisles browsing at all the wares.  The Mennonites are selling maple syrup.  People taste various delicacies hawked by boisterous vendors.  Wheeling and dealing is going on everywhere.  Go into the buildings and you can stroll through a seemingly endless maze of antiques and collectibles.  I especially love to look at all the various meats and cheeses that are on display at the various counters IF I CAN GET ANYWHERE NEAR THEM!  People, I love the fact that you want an outing with your family.  Young parents out shopping with their little ones are a great thing.  I just ask one favour: LEAVE THE DAMN SUV STROLLERS AT HOME!  There is no room in the market for a double-wide stroller with off-road capability.  Whatever happened to those small collapsible nylon strollers that always seemed to have that one wheel that would wobble violently when you pushed it.  That’s what you need.  On more than one occasion I have come out of the buildings at the market with tire tracks on the tops of my shoes.  If you must take your child to the market in an SUV stroller, one of the parents should at least have the courtesy to wait outside in the fresh air with the little one.  If you find waiting for waiting's sake too tedious, try getting in the line for apple fritters.  You’ll be outside most of the time anyway, and you'll be rewarded with a sweet treat at the end.
